The Mission, Vision and Goals of the Clean Cities Program

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the mission of the Clean Cities Program is to advance the economic, environmental, and energy, and energy security of the United States by supporting local decisions to adopt practices that contribute to reduced petroleum consumption in the transportation sector.

We accomplish this mission by focusing on following objectives:

  • Increase Fuel Blends use: diesel/Biodiesel, ethanol/gasoline, compressed natural gas/hydrogen
  • Accelerate sales of Hybrid Vehicles
